Children can join our nursery throughout the year, however we prefer for them to start at the beginning of a term. We will accept children throughout the year, depending on our availability. We accept children from 2 years of age until they move into Reception Class.
We do require that children attend for a minimum of two sessions over two days per week to help them settle and form friendships. The Nursery is extremely busy and if we do not have availability for the sessions you would like for your child you may put your child’s name on our waiting list. Your child is eligible for 15 hours of Universal Early Years Funding the term after they turn three or 30 hours extended funding based on government criteria. You can split your funding between childcare providers (e.g. Day Nursery, Childminder). We are also able to accept expanded funding for 2-year-old children who are eligible for this. Each term you will receive a funding form from Nursery to complete that enables us to claim this funding. Any hours above the 30 funded which are accessed at Nursery will be invoiced for at our usual sessional rate.
We also accept two year funded children; this has a specific criteria in order to be received. Please speak to us if you feel your family situation may be within the criteria.
Once you have decided that we are the right nursery for your child the next step is to complete our Application Form 2024 – 2025 and return to us. Once a placement has been allocated then we would ask for our registration pack to be completed prior to your child starting at the Nursery.
Please note that although our premises are on the school grounds we do operate independently from the Primary School and attendance at Ditton Lodge Nursery does not guarantee a place at Ditton Lodge Community Primary School.
