Admissions

We accept children from 2 years of age until they move into Reception Class. Our main intake is in September, however, children can join throughout the year, depending on our availability. We  require children to attend for a minimum of two sessions over two days per week to help them settle and form relationships. The Nursery is extremely busy and if we do not have availability for the sessions you would like for your child you may put your child’s name on our waiting list.

Funding

We accept the 30 hours of childcare funding, that is available to eligible families and the 15 hours of Universal Early Years Funding that all children are entitled to the term after they turn three. You can use the funding at anytime during the sessions we have agreed upon and you can split your funding between childcare providers (e.g. Day Nursery, Childminder). You will receive a funding form from Nursery to complete that enables us to claim this funding. We also accept targeted funding for two year old’s; this has a specific criteria in order to be received. Please speak to us if you feel your family situation may be within the criteria.

Fees

Any hours over and above funded hours which are accessed at Nursery will be invoiced for at our usual sessional rate, shown below.

Morning (08.40am-11.40am) or afternoon (12.10pm-15.10pm) session – £21

Lunch (11.40am-12.10pm) – £4

Full day (08.40am-15.10pm) – £45

Additional Charges

As a charity pre school, raising additional funds is vital to the sustainability of the setting. To support us to continue to provide morning and afternoon snack, consumables such as wipes and tissues and to provide additional activities like seasonal baking and crafts, gardening and providing enriching opportunities and experiences for all the children, we suggest a voluntary donation amount on each half termly invoice. This charge relates to the number of sessions your child attends and will be an amount between £5-£25 per half term.

Next Steps

Once you have decided that we are the right nursery for your child the next step is to complete our Application Form 2025 – 2026 and return to us. Once a placement has been allocated then we would ask for our registration pack to be completed prior to your child starting at the Nursery.

Please note that although our premises are on the school grounds we do operate independently from the Primary School and attendance at Ditton Lodge Nursery does not guarantee a place at Ditton Lodge Community Primary School.

Further information can be found in our Prospectus 2025 – 2026.
